BMR in Central Scotland
BMR in the CommunityWe currently employ 30 operatives most of whom live within the immediate Bo'ness area. You could say the community is at the heart of BMR’s work. We believe that
like any business in the community we should inspire, engage and support the needs and aspirations of the people around us. Importantly, we hope to encourage and grow a wide range of talents and support local enterprise. Nothing gives us more
pride than 'putting something back' or working on local
projects that will ultimately improve the local environment
and have a positive effect on their lifestyle.
A very local project
All wrapped up ready for redevelopment - another major project in the £5 million Bo'ness Townscape Heritage Initiative to
restore the port's historic centre.
The building at 15-17 South Street is being redeveloped by owners BMR Developments with the aid of a THI grant. the project is due to be finished by the end of this year.
The South Street development follows the flagship THI project - the restoration of the Hippodrome - Scotland's first purpose
built cinema which is going through a final fit out for opening
later this year. Meanwhile Falkirk council is in talks with
owners of other derelict properties in the THI area.
The Bo'ness THI is a key economic regeneration project intended to restore to heritage standard prominent derelict buildings in the core of the Outstanding Conservation Area of
the town centre with the help of grants to the owners. The Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland are major contributors to the THI. |
